About the role
The Product designer assists development teams in internalising user journeys, intent, emotions, pain spots, and success criteria. The person will be responsible for conceptualizing and performing user research, interviews, and surveys, as well as turning them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes. The Product designer will also be required to design the overall functionality of the product and, in order to achieve a great user experience, iterate on it in line with user testing.

  • You will collaborate with other designers, research, product, and engineering teams to define and develop relevant, intuitive, and attractive experiences for our consumers.
  • You will envision and create creative concepts that simplify and make difficult design concerns easier to utilize. You are both a conceptual thinker and a craftsperson. Your design work is clean, focused, and a source of inspiration for others.
  • You will also work in an agile atmosphere with a motivated and enthusiastic interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality experiences.

Hard Skills
  • Portfolio demonstrating your ability to translate research results into exceptional product experiences by combining good visual and interaction design concepts. A good portfolio is essential for this post, both in terms of proving your expertise and as an example of your ability to build a compelling design presentation that demonstrates problem-solving, creative thinking, and the delivery of solid end-to-end scenarios.
  • 1-2 years of product delivery experience in a product/software context Passion for design and excellent command of interface and visual design abilities
  • An undergraduate degree in HCI-related disciplines such as UI Design, Interaction Design, Information Design, Industrial Design is preferred.
  • You must be able to communicate and cooperate across disciplines, as well as convey your design ideas with a high degree of influence and effect throughout the team.
  • Basic Knowledge of programming languages such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and or Python is an added bonus
  • Expertise with Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, and related tools. Should also be used to prototyping tools such as InVision, Flinto, Framer, Processing, Unity, etc.
  • Must be well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques.

Soft Skills
  • High Ownership (taking complete responsibility for the growth via the respective channels)
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced start-up environment, and get-things-done
  • Creative outlook and an eye for detail
  • Super Iterative (being able to do 1000s of experiments, and figure out what works best)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Right mix of data-driven and intuition-based approach.
